Salina Thind’s Beauty Essentials

I could go on forever about products I like but I’ll pick out a few which I just couldn’t do without!

Let’s start with the all important skincare.

Bioderma Crealine H2O

This cleanser is one of the best and is a staple in make-up artists’ kits during fashion week shows. I use the one for sensitive skin as, especially on shows, a model has had so much make-up applied and removed her skin will get a bit aggravated. It’s just like using water on your skin but removes all make-up. Bioderma Crealine H2O Cleanser is available at

Alpha-H Essential Hydration Cream

This not only smells divine, it really moisturises and plumps the skin, giving a great base for make-up. EVERY time I use it I get asked what this product is, purely because of the way it smells. Read our review of Alpha-H Essential Hydration Cream. It can be purchased from

Alpha-H Liquid Gold

One swipe of this tightens pores, firms skin and gives you an immediate glow. Again, a perfect base for your make-up. This can be used on it’s own under foundation, or under a moisturiser – depending on what type of skin you have. If your skin tends to be on the drier side I’d recommend using a moisturiser on top. This is a lifesaver for me when you have someone with large pores/oily skin/skin you know make-up just isn’t going to sit well on! Alpha-H Liquid Gold is available at

Alpha-H Eye Complex

This is a great pick me up for tired eyes and the great thing is you can use it on your eyelids too so total all over hydration. Again, an immediate result. Alpha-H Absolute Eye Complex is available at

Lucas Papaw Ointment

This is a great multi-purpose balm, use it on its own on your lips or use it mixed in with a lipstick to get a sheerer colour. Another great use is to use it as a highlight/gloss over your cheekbones and/or eyes to give you that dewy, fresh look. Add a touch of mascara and a little of the balm on your lips and you’re good to go. Lucas PawPaw Ointment (£9) is available at

And now on to the fun stuff, make-up!

Shu Uemura Stage Performer

Instant Glow Immediate Radiance Skin Perfecting Cream – this can be used all over the face, either on it’s own or under your foundation and it gives a great glow without any shimmer. Or just use it on the cheekbones for a nice highlight! I love this product. Read our review of Shu Uemura Stage Performer. It can be purchased from

MAC Face & Body Foundation

I just couldn’t do without this in my kit for many reasons. One being that you can use it on arms/legs/anywhere! I also love the fact that it’s so sheer, but can be built up. This means it’s great to use on guys when doing grooming, but can also give great coverage when working on someone that needs a little bit more. MAC Face & Body Foundation is available at

Myface Cosmetics MyCover Concealer

I honestly don’t know what I did without these in my kit. They’re perfect for under the eyes as they’re so creamy and the colours are great too, especially when you’re trying to cover up those dark circles. MyFace MyCover Concealer is available at

Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Shadow Creme

These shadows come in a range of colours and do not crease. They’re amazing on the their own or you can use them as a base and lay a powder shadow on top. SO easy to use! Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Shadow Cremes are available at

Body Shop Volumising Mascara

I’ve tried A LOT of mascaras and even though I love the usual suspects (YSL, Dior, Lancome, Chanel), I keep coming back to this one. I think it may be the brush, it let’s you get right to the root of the lashes and really builds them up with minimum effort. It also comes in black, brown and blue. Read our review of The Body Shop Super Volume Mascara. It is available at

Benefit Box Powders

I think Benefit’s range of powders/blushers are great and there are colours there for all skintones. Some you can use as a powder alone, some you can use as bronzers/highlighters and some as blushers – they are so versatile. I can’t do without them! Benefit Box Powders are available at

So, those are a few of my favourite things!
