Alpha-H – Essential Hydration Cream

The Essential Hydration Cream is an aromatic soothing moisturiser with a unique combination of essential oils, bio-active sea minerals and essential fatty acids; all combined with the latest youth enhancing, skin-lifting Peptide. It is said to cool, plump and revitalise parched and stressed skin.

Who It’s For

If your skin is affected by everyday environmental stresses, which can cause a loss of moisture and essential nutrients to the skin, leaving it fatigued, parched, blotchy and irritated then this cream is for you. It is also recommended for mature or hormonally challenged skin, which is even more prone to flaking and itchiness due to a reduction in natural oil production, and a loss of resilience and elasticity in the blood vessels can cause redness and broken capillaries.  Essential Hydration Cream is recommended for all ages and skin types requiring hydration, support and TLC.

Apply liberally each morning and evening after cleansing by gently massaging over the face and neck. Apply sparingly along the orbital bone to condition and soften the eye contour. Also ideal for men to use after shaving to cool and soothe the skin.

It does not contain an SPF so you may want to use an SPF moisturiser and the morning and the Essential Hydration Cream at night. Alternatively an SPF can be applied in addition to the cream.

Essential Hydration Cream uses a blend of essential fatty acids and Linoleic acid to replenish parched skin whilst Red Algae extract aids in the retention of that moisture for longer lasting and more durable hydration. Herbal extracts from the fruited cone of the Cypress tree, the germinated seeds of Barley and the stem of Solomon’s Seal combine with Arnica Montana to soothe, reduce inflammation and boost the skin’s natural resistance to the formation of thread veins and its associated redness.

Comfrey Root and Panax Ginseng work to condition and revitalise by boosting cell repair and collagen synthesis, whilst essential oils of Ylang Ylang and Peppermint enliven, de-stress and invigorate the senses.

This emollient conditioning cream is free from artificial fragrances, colours, parabens and mineral oil. The sebum regulating and antibacterial properties of some of its ingredients make it just as effective on a normal, combination skin as it is on a dry, dehydrated complexion.

Our Trial

I tried Essential Hydration Cream for two weeks, using it day and night.

The first thing I noticed about the cream is its distinctive, tropical plant smell which is a very fresh and pleasant scent. The texture of the cream is soft and spreadable.

Usually prone to breakouts, amazingly, I have clearer skin after just a couple of days of using the Essential Hydration Cream.

After two-weeks of use, my complexion is healthier, softer and brighter.

Having usually suffered with excess oil production and shine in the T-zone, I consider this cream to have regulated it.

I do have broken capillaries but have not been using the cream long enough to notice a significant improvement in my skin’s tone. However, I do believe in its worth having noticed such an improvement with short-term use, and am excited to see what the long-term effects of the cream will be hoping that if anything it will prevent the onset of new thread veins.

I have been using this cream in conjunction with Alpha-H’s Micro Cleanse exfoliant and think that both products are responsible for leaving my skin hydrated, comfortable and flake-free.

Price & Packaging

The packaging is simply white with black writing. It is a pump tube which is good  in that it only pumps out small amounts so that wastage  can be avoided.

It is unusual to find a hydration cream that does so much more than just hydrate the skin but Essential Hydration Cream certainly does. JMA would highly recommend it to those wanting to improve their skin’s complexion, restore hydration yet control oil production and repair and prevent the effects of ageing.
