Extensions, false lashes and layers of mascara all look fabulous but can eventually take their toll on delicate eyelashes, leaving them looking thin and sparse. Japanese beauty brand DHC has introduced Eyelash Tonic, a conditioning gel formula that strengthens and protects weak lashes against breakage to leave them looking thicker, fuller and longer.
Active botanical ingredients include strengthening and softening Aloe, Ginseng and Swertia Japonica extract, along with nourishing Watercress and soothing Comfrey.
Eyelash Tonic should be applied as a mascara base in the morning and as a treatment at bedtime. Simply brush a small amount of tonic onto lash roots and sweep outwards toward tips.
DHC Eyelash Tonic has a small, curved brush which is easy to apply. It is a clear gel which makes lashes look longer on application. I wore it as a clear mascara in the daytime a couple of times but mainly as a mascara base. As a mascara base it definitely improved the effects of the mascara by separating my lashes out well and adding length and volume.
I used DHC Eyelash Tonic for a few weeks morning and evening and have definitely noticed an improvement in the condition of my lashes which look glossier, darker, fuller and longer. They also feel softer. It improved the look of my mascara when worn in the day and strengthened and repaired my lashes at night.
