Whenever I ask women about their beauty regime, one thing tends to be missed or raises questions. Why should we use primers & highlighters? What are the best ones available? How much do they cost? Being a student myself I know these products are often quite pricey; but there are some cheap alternatives...
Splurge |
Steal |
Benefit's "that gal” brightening face primer; £21.50This product can be used on its own or under foundation to give skin a glowing complexion. It also improves make-up application & smells gorgeous!
|
Soap & Glory's Glow Lotion highlighter; £5.11I have to admit I stumbled across this by accident; after running out of face highlighter, I tested a body highlighter on my face. The results were amazing! The product is exactly like Benefit’s “that gal” primer and a fraction of the price!

Clarins' Instant Light Complexion; £24Blends easily to create a flawless complexion on its own or mixed with foundation. This product doesn’t have the same glittery effect but gives a perfect dewy complexion suitable for day or night.
|
No7 Skin Illuminator; £11A ‘prime’ example of not to judge a book by its cover... it may not look much but this product works wonders. I would advise not to use the brush but instead remove the lid and apply with fingers for an even base.
